Description
An Original 1960s Harlem Globetrotters Basketball Warmup Jacket from Owner Potter Palmer
In 1967 the Harlem Globetrotters were sold to a group of three young Chicago businessmen led by Potter Palmer marking the first time someone other than founder Abe Saperstein would own the world-renowned group known as basketball's Ambassadors of Goodwill. To commemorate the historic transfer of the franchise's ownership, Potter received this authentic warmup jacket at the media event on June 8, 1967 announcing the $3.7 million deal. An important piece from a monument transaction in basketball history.
